| Description | Morton served as a Gunner's Mate Third Class in the Pacific Theater. This scrapbook documents his time in San Diego after he first enlisted; the time in Alabama when he was home on leave; and his year and a half in Australia. Subjects documented in the photographs from Australia include sites in Darwin, Australia, before and after it was bombed: Australian Aborigines; and Morton and his friends on a beach near Darwin. |
