Part of the image has been wiped away. Ambrotype is 4.25 x 5.5 inches. There is no case. When the image was scanned in the frame, the plate had been reversed from its original position.
During the Civil War, Clayton H. Moore became a sergeant in Company B of the 61st Georgia Infantry, C.S.A. The box holding this cased photograph is labeled "Moore Clay," but at this time there is no evidence that anyone by that name existed....
