Poster of the Lowndes County Freedom Association, also known as the Black Panther Party. It provided the foundation for the better-known Black Panther Party for Self-Defense subsequently founded in Oakland, California.

One is carrying a "Freedom Now" poster. This is from a collection of sixteen slides, chiefly of the Selma to Montgomery March, owned by a Lutheran minister who was possibly the photographer. His name is unknown.
