Description |
This was one of Gadsden’s early elementary schools. The Eleventh Street School was erected in 1907 at a cost of $18,000. This brick structure was the second brick building built by the Gadsden Board of Education. The school later closed when newer schools were built in this area. The aging structure was later renovated and now houses the Gadsden Board of Education. (Scarboro, Bob, and Mike Goodson. Images of America Etowah County.
